Big Bang

1999 - July 2019

Contributed graphic design strategy and implementation on a diverse range of client engagements, in categories including consumer, juvenile, medical, and commercial, with clients such as Intel, Cuisinart, Fisher-Price and Pitney Bowes. Developed and implemented UI/UX methods and principles for new strategic capabilities. Developed, managed and maintained all marketing assets, including website, marketing communications, social media, advertisements, and sales presentations.

Accomplishments:

  • Developed the internal digital interaction capability, strategy, and processes for integrated (physical+digital) products, building new capabilities and revenue streams in the areas of UI/UX.

  • Through four company repositioning campaigns, created and implemented each of the re-brand assets and marketing initiatives, helping to reconnect to an evolving target audience.

  • Introduced, created and managed all social media assets, increasing the digital footprint and optimizing SEO requirements.

SciTrek, The Science & Technology Museum of Atlanta

1988 - 1999

As Design Director was responsible for the visual and experiential design of the museum, from visitor experience to exhibit design to museum communications. Created and maintained the SciTrek brand identity. Collaborated with the executive, marketing, education and exhibit construction departments.

Accomplishments:

  • Designed and developed visual branding, exhibit appearance and structure, and associated assets for the traveling and temporary exhibitions “Edison and His Bright Ideas” and “Cyber Playground.”

  • Collaborated with a development team to create, specify, and build the innovative “KidSpace”, an experiential learning space targeted for children ages 2-7, a permanent museum attraction and teaching experience.

  • Invited to participate in the San Francisco Exploratorium Museum’s prestigious Professional Development Program, where I received training in their innovative development and prototyping methodologies and developed, on site, “Dance of Light and Color,” an exhibit later selected to be a permanent feature for SciTrek.
